Mother of three: 22, 19 and 16. Living with my daughter and her family in the Keweenaw Peninsula in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Yup, I am further north than most of the population of Canada. Can you say 'snow'?

I like to draw, do crafts, crochet and love learning new crafts when I have time. I have started writing a graphic novel which I plan to showcase in Metaplace.

Started online roleplaying about 18 years ago, which led to playing Ultima Online, Asheron's Call amd AC2. After that was beta testing Dungeons and Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online and after that a few months in WoW. Now I am back to UO. What can I say? Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

A year and a half ago I got involved in Second Life, which held the bulk of my interest until I finally got accepted into beta at Metaplace. I beleive I have found my niche here.

What is Metaplace?

Metaplace is a network of user-created virtual worlds and games. Easy, right? Well, it's a bit more than that. It's also:

* A social network that lets you meet new friends and find your old friends too.
* A place to express yourself with your own virtual world.
* A collection of badges that you can earn for doing things like inviting friends, visiting worlds, and rating worlds.
* A place for you to script your own game using our API (if you know how to do programming)
* A marketplace of freely available interactive objects, systems, furniture, and buildings to create your very own place.
* A place for you to create art, code, objects, and games to trade with other users!

I also role play at Infinity Bound, and write articles for my shard in UO as well as act as go-between for our shard's event moderator. And now, Metaplace is allowing me to drop my beta restrictions so I can tell you whats going on! All of these things will be a part of this LJ.
